Overview on Ecclisiastes.

this book was written by King Solomon and tells us mainly to "fear god and keep his commandments" this book also tells us about a lot of things that are vanity.

Most often used phrases:

"Vanity of vanities" says the preacher "all is vanity."

Then I returned and saw/considered all that was___under the sun.

It is all grasping for the wind.

Random facts and Opinions:

In chapter four verse 9-11 Solomon writes "there is nothing new under the sun."

Solomon is of the opinion that it would be better if one did not live.

Ecclesiastes is a very hard book to understand because it skips around a lot.

Sum-up verse:

Fear God and keep his comandments for this is mans all.
for God will bring every work into judgement including
every secret thing whether good or evil.
(Ecclisiastes 12:13-14)

The Tomb of King Tutankamen

The air is musty and old. Treasure sparkles in the gleam of my torch.
Nothing moves. Nothing speaks, as if the world never has been.
A coffin is in front of me! I shiver with excitement, and remove the lid.
Inside are the most beautiful treasures I have ever seen, from a
four-thousand-y
ear-old scroll to a sapphire crocodile. Amidst
these riches is something, if possible, more beautiful than them all.

There in all his splendor lies King Tutankamen himself!
